Testosterone is a sex hormone produced mainly in men, but also in women. It effects sexual drive and function as well as sexual and nonsexual characteristics (muscle mass, deepness of voice, hair growth patterns, etc). This test measures total testosteron level in your blood.

Preparation:  No special preparation is required for you with this blood test. As with any blood draw, it is a good practice to drink water in advance so you are well hydrated.
